The idea that elements around us are present but not perceived by us as humans is the main basis of this work. Ultrasound is that of a frequency too high for humans to hear, in excess of 20,000Hz. Dogs are far more sensitive to these frequencies and have no problems hearing them.
I struck upon the idea of creating some kind of musical instrument which would play at such high frequencies and enable a seemingly ‘silent  concert to be performed, a Concert for Dogs. The ‘Tin Whistle  flute and Piccolo versions of the instrument are made from a Dog whistle and a brass tube, the position of the fingers holes are arranged to give a key of (silent) Middle C.
