This piece plays with the idea of time as a physical dimension. When discussing the Universe on a Macro level, time and distance become one and the same thing. Brought down to a human level the work at first appears to be nothing more than a regular tape measure; that is until you realise the units are in seconds. The tape is 60 inches long and so indicates a minute of time. Curling and unravelled over a surface suggests time as a malleable entity which extends and weaves between the three dimensions even under and around itself.
